If you are looking for a day’s outing, you will be hard-pressed to beat the majestic Falls at Nethercote. The Falls are in the Nethercote Falls Flora Reserve so please respect this natural wonder and keep the area clean for other visitors by taking with you all used bottles, wrappers and other litter. When the water is flowing this is truly a spectacular site. Although the main pool itself is deep, further around to your right, the water is quite shallow and there are lots of additional pools and even mini waterfalls that the kids wil enjoy exploring.

GETTING THERE
To get to Nethercote Falls head south towards Pambula. About 1 km after you leave Pambula Village turn right into Mount Darragh Road. Continue along Mount Darragh Road for 5-10 minutes until you see Back Creek Road on your left. Continue along this road until you come to Pipe Clay Road on your left. Follow the signs for Nethercote Falls (this is a dirt road) until you come to a car park and BBQ area – this is no more than 1 km from the main road. You have the choice of either leaving your car here and walking down to the falls (it is a long steep walk, especially on a hot day) or, if you have a four-wheel drive, you can drive down and park at the car park at the bottom which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. However, please note, the dirt road down to the bottom car park is steep and can be slippery in places. From the bottom car park simply follow the path to the Falls, the walk takes approximately 10 minutes and should be manageable for young children aged 4yrs and up.
BEWARE
If you aim to swim in the deep holes at the Falls please be aware that there are submerged rocks that are not always visible.
FACILITIES
There are no toilets at the Falls but in the upper car park you will find a BBQ and picnic tables.
The nearest petrol station is back on Mt. Darragh Road towards Pambula.
